Field Trip Questions
What is the most distinguishing feature in each place?
At the Butterfly Museum, I think the most distinguished place was the wall that had vines growing up it. I thought it perfectly symbolized our project of merging nature and man-made.
At the Harn, I think the most distinguished place was the red sculpture outside. The color is so vibrant and shocking. It stands out from nature and screams that it is man-made.
What is the purpose or goal of each place?
The purpose of the Buttefly Museum is to be an escape for people. It is a beautiful area to visit to see and learn about butterflies that you normally wouldn't see on a day to day basis.
The purpose of the Harn is to provide a place where art can be preserved and glorified.
What is the essential quality of each place?
Both the Butterfly Exhibit and the Harn are in remarkable conditions and have excellent quality. They are kept in prime condition for the audience that trickles through daily.

How do people react to each place?
I think people react positively to both the Butterfly Exhibit and the Harn. This is because they are both well-known sanctuaries (either for art or for butterflies) that educate the public.

How do you explain/compare/contrast 2 places in terms of physical and psychological quality?
In both the Harn and the Butterfly Exhibit, I feel as if they give off the same quality in terms of physical and psychological quality. They both are beautiful facilities with stunning art or butterflies. As for psychological quality, they both provide an education and a lovely view to the public.
What is your definition of “natural place” and “unnatural place”?
I think a natural place is somewhere that was not created by humans, and, vice versa, an unnatural place is somewhere created by humans.
