Ch. 2 The Element of Color

Post response of reading on blog and answer following 
Which will work better in your design, a limited or wide range of hues?
I believe depending on the situation, either can be acceptable, but I would prefer a more limited range of hues in order to appear more organized and less flashy.

What happens when your composition is dominated by earth colors and chromatic grays? How does it change when an intense color is added?
When a composition is dominated by earth colors and chromatic grays, the composition has a sense of unity. When an intense color is added to the composition, it add sense of contrast or balance between the earth and chromatic gray colors and the intense color.

What are the differences in use of color in Andrew Wyeth's Wind from the Sea and Richard Diebenkorn's Interior with Book?
The color use in Andrew Wyeth's Wind from the sea, he uses colors to make his work look more serene and calm, while Richard Diebenkorn's Interior with Book has more bright intense colors, making his work look more dynamic.
